PolygonTeatrist

PolygonTeater on teatri jms produktsiooni üksus, mis toimib eesti ja rahvusvaheliste loovisikute kohtumispaigana. Teater on asutatud 8. mail 2008 Tallinnas. Koostööd plaanitakse suuremate teatrifestivalide ja teatritega, samuti erinevate kunstialade esindajatega.

PolygonTeater tegeleb eri kunstisuundade avardamise ja ühendamisega. Teatri kõrvalt jõuame näiteks muusikaloomingu, klubikultuuri, kujutava kunsti, kuuldemängude, multimeedia, videokunsti ja performance’i seostatuse juurde. Laiemalt defineerides esindame “vaese (loe: lihtsa ja ausa) teatri” suunda, otsides samaaegselt uuemaid ja puhtamaid ( loe: olustikust vabamaid ) vorme ja rakendusi laval. Oleme huvitatud koostööst välisloojatega ning piiritagustest rahvusvahelistest projektidest.

Oma teatripõhistes projektides kasutab PolygonTeater eelisena liikmete väljakujunenud laia kontaktidevõrgustikku ning rajab suhted eri institutsioonide ja kunstitegelastega pikaajalisele koostöö vormile. Kõik töödes osalejad on kaasatud projektipõhiselt, mis tagab pidevalt värske vere ning avatud mõtlemise. Mängukohad leitakse samuti koostöö-põhiselt partneritega.

PolygonTeatril on kaks põhiliiget: kunstiline juht Tamur Tohver ja tootmispealik Tarvo Krall. Põhituumiku kompaktsus tööstiilis ning sidumatus konkreetse maja või lavaga tagab PolygonTeatri mobiilsuse nii idees kui teostuses ning annab võimaluse teavitada oma sõnumeid samaaegselt erinevas geograafilises lokatsioonis.

Nii säilib ka loominguline vabadus.

About PolygonTheatre

PolygonTheatre is a production unit which functions as a meeting forum for Estonian and international artists. It is established 8 of May 2008 in Tallinn. Co-operation has been planned with major theatre festivals and theatres, and also various artists on different fields.

PolygonTheatre works on a widening field of arts. Aside from theatre, the group also produces movies, radio plays, music, workshops, performances and media art. We present “poor-theatre” movement, but at the same time PolygonTheatre is open-mindedly seeking for new forms and practices in the stage. The group is also interested of co-operation with artists from abroad and international projects.

In its projects, PolygonTheatre takes advantage of the wide contact networks of its members and aims at long and continuous collaboration with various artists and institutions. Performers and artists are hired on project-by-project basis. PolygonTheatre does not have a permanent residence. Venues for performances are provided by the co-operation partners.

The next project of PolygonTheatre is I. Võrõpajev’s “Oxygen”

PolygonTheatre has two permanent members: Artistic Director Tamur Tohver and Head of Production Tarvo Krall. The compactness of the core team and the way of working without their own theatre stage or premises, directly gives all resources for artistic work. Light structure guarantees the group a greater freedom, flexibility and mobility.
